here's another beast, the pictures have been suffering lately, because of lack of proper camera but you get the idea.
this one is about a song that i think about while walking down the street, or waiting for the bus. it's specific for me but i wanted it to be alittle vague. now, i did a piece about this song a long time ago but i ended up hating it, i did however, like the dogs enough to use them again (the original jezebel destroyed by me) also, i like the idea of the dogs barking a beautiful song, like it's in the air all the time but only beneath all the noise.
the model was someone i know and cooperated perfectly, most people are too uncomfortable, or i am.
each of the layers of "song" took about 7 hours of work, at one point i realized that one piece was backwards and i had to start all over again. it turned out to be about 21 hours of work but i'm happy with how it came out.
love the ornate "song" coming from the beast's heads...

How should I know Sirens, where your tedium comes from/ When you moan in the night from far off shores?/ Sea, like you, I'm full of scheming voices/ And my singing ships are called my years.
yeah man this picture blows. i want to see the beautiful detail! from what i know, good pictures dont even do your work justice, it is something you need to see first hand to fully appreciate .
Neato! Please let me know if you ever get a decent picture of this. I'd fav it immediately. Again- I like the colors. and is that wallpaler? wicked cool.

-Apollinaire
Such lovely contrast. It's provocative, but still a calm and elegant piece. I particularly like that.
