Hey, very spooky! I'm glad you posted this. I would have never thought to turn to mod podge as a glossing media. I like that I might have to give it a try once or twice

i'm in love with mod podge, i'm starting to use it for everything, including patching up the sole of my boots, ha.

you just have to spray a fixative over watercolors to keep it from smearing out the details. the background in not mod podged though, i wanted to take a picture beforehand to avoid the glare.

To avoid glare, try to light the piece on an angle and then stand directly in front of it. Most of the light will reflect elsewhere off the camera. It could take some practice getting the right wide angles for the light source but it certainly has helped me with my oil paintings
