i was thinking she was the manifestation of those completely nonsensical dreams you have when you're sick, just confusing and fucked up and nothing is in the right place, then you wake up vomiting. she is sickness.

the red hand symbolizes a claim and an ownership of something, in this case, the subconscious.

the second right hand is in the position of fleming's right hand rule, determining the direction of motion in a magnetic field, no symbolism there, i just liked the idea of that.

beetles in symbolism are able to pass through both terrestrial and celestial worlds.

bobcats are solitary and represent patience and introspection.

also, her shoes are tsuranuki, worn in traditional japan by warlords.

Oh wow, that background is neat. It's so different from your other work that it's effective.
The figure is interesting as well. Like someone out of Revelation or something.

Lovely! Thank you for selling me Beast of Change; now that I am able to actually look at it straight up I appreciate and love it even more.
:iconbrownboots:
wait till you get the big one.

I like how this turned out. I enjoy the outlining black. I see references to death(the skull) and decay(the insects)

and of course tentacled beings are always welcome to my eye

i have a heart condition. if you hit me, its murder.
:iconbrownboots:
actually, yeah it kind of is, but the first "red hands" i heard about was a group of soldiers in world war II so i looked up and it seems there's a lot of versions of the red hand throughout history, i thought that was really interesting.
:iconbrownboots:
thanks, unfortunately you can't see a lot of it in the pictures, those beetles look better in real life.

i wasn't sure about the outline at first but i'm enjoying it more and more. i'll write a more detailed entry about it soon.
