these are two pieces that for the life of me i couldn't finish, so i just put them together and here it is.

also, inspired by Louise Erdrich's poem, king of owls.

" For I am the King of Owls.
Where I float no shadow falls.
I have hungers, such terrible hungers, you cannot know.
Lords, I sharpen my talons on your bones."

I like the long, spindly legs and the heaviness of the headmask. The title is perfect for the subject -- it definitely feels like its heralding to the end of the world, somehow. Just awesome.

Yay, long legs.
I think the owl feels way too detailed with the rest of the piece.
